This is one of the many contemporary stained glass windows in the Central Lutheran sanctuary.


The Central Lutheran Church community has 25 years of history touching the lives of the hundreds of members living in Arizona City and the greater Casa Grande area, as well as visitors who have passed through its doors. The membership of the congregation consists of nearly 150 families.

Pastor Thom StephensPastor Thom Stephens (contact) has served at Central for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound (1979) and Luther Theological Seminary (1984) and previously served as a pastor in Scottsbluff, NE and Scottsdale, AZ. He enjoys activities such as hiking, softball, biking, golfing, watching sports and reading a good novel. His latest hobby has taken him to see a game played almost every major league baseball stadium. Thom is originally from Santa Clara, CA and is a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. He and his wife, Alyson, live in Arizona City and have three adult children.

Church Council

The church council consists of 12 members that meet the third Tuesday of each month. These leaders, guided by the church constitution, oversee the ministry of the congregation as well as envision future ministry.
